About

Kirsty Martindale is a Chartered Accountant and a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). She studied Economics at the University of Leicester before completing her chartered accountancy training at a large London firm and qualifying in 2005.

Kirsty founded Lual Consulting after realising there was a market need for senior financial expertise delivered in a way that was accessible by smaller businesses in their start up and growth stages. Kirsty works in collaboration with senior management and the board at her clients, ensuring they have sound financial practices and systems in place to help achieve their business goals.

With years of experience working with clients from a broad range of sectors, including fintech, banking, retail, healthcare and the music industry, Kirsty knows that there is not a one-size-fits-all approach to the set up and running of a finance department. And whilst Kirsty loves deep diving into finances, she knows business owners simply don’t have the time.

Kirsty has built and run finance teams from scratch, procuring new accounting systems, devising appropriate policies and staffing. She has also joined established teams and with a fresh pair of eyes has looked for efficiencies and best practices to adopt with minimal business disruption. Her financial knowledge and proficiency mean Kirsty can align herself as a trusted, senior financial partner in your business.
